Cheerleading Tryout Fall 2022 Information

 Congratulations to the following participants who have been selected for the 2022 Winkler Football Cheerleading Teams. If your name is listed below, please read the information listed below the team selections and use the following steps to prepare yourself for our upcoming season. Please make sure you read all 6 steps carefully and complete the necessary links provided.   Our first practice will be held Monday, August 15th from 4-5:30pm. Please follow all clothing expectations that were given for our tryout season. I look forward to working with you.

Step 1: Join our remind account for the season so that information and updates can be sent to you. Go to remind.com and join the class using the following code. 792968c. Please make sure that both the cheerleading participant and a parent/guardian has signed up for the remind account. If you need assistance accessing the program you will find instructions to join remind under the useful links tab on my Winkler Middle School Teacher Website.

Step 2: Join our Canvas Course for the season. Use the following link to sign up for our Canvas Page for the season.  https://cabarrus.instructure.com/enroll/JRX9KN.

All cheers, chants and calendars for the season will be uploaded into the modules. If you are absent from practice you will use the videos attached to prepare any material that has been missed. You will also need to use these videos to practice at home to ensure you are ready for game days.

The cost of the required items for the season will be $35. These items will be purchased through our Winkler Middle School PTSO. You may pay using a check or cash. All checks will need to be made payable to Winkler Middle School PTSO. Jenny Bryant will be collecting these funds at our first practice on August 15th. If you wish to order additional T Shirts for family members the cost will be $20 per additional shirt.

Step 4: Please purchase a pair of white cheerleading shoes of your choice. You may find these at sporting goods stores such as Academy or Dicks or can also be found through Amazon. You will need these for your first game on August 31st. If you need assistance finding shoes please email me at shannon.mann@cabarrus.k12.nc.us and I will be able to provide you with suggestions.

Step 5: Camp Payment: We will be participating in a camp Friday August 26tth from 5-8pm and Saturday August 27th from 8am-3pm. This is a mandatory camp, both days are required. The cost of the camp will be $100. You may pay using a check or cash. Checks will need to be made payable to Winkler Middle School. Payments must be submitted by Wednesday August 24th.
