Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabarrus County Schools will offer a Spring Sports only schedule for the 2020-2021 school year for middle school students. Fall and winter sports will not be played this year.
Sports that will be offered this spring are: baseball, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, and boys and girls track. The tentative start date for middle school spring sports is Monday, March 22, 2021.
The SPMSC has decided to go with a contactless ticket platform starting with the 2021 Spring Sports season. We will be using "Ticket Spicket" like the high schools within Cabarrus County. You are HIGHLY encouraged to create an account and download the app. You will search for the event via the Home teams school name. Tickets will go on sale the week of the event. Please be patient with us while we work through this process. Below you can find links to help you get familiar with this process.
Any student-athlete wanting to tryout for a sport must have a completed CCS athletic packet AND a current physical turned in and approved by Mr. Lenz our Athletic Trainer. To save a trip to school, feel free to email a copy of your new physical to Mrs. Lenz. Also due to COVID-19 (per the NCHSAA) any physical dated 3/1/2019 thru 5/2/20 will be granted a temporary extension to participate thru the end of the 2020-21 academic year. Once we receive the paperwork, physical, and check eligibility we will then issue the student-athlete an orange card to give the coach letting them know you are cleared for tryouts. NO ORANGE CARD/NO PARTICIPATING!!!
The following forms are mandated by NCHSAA and CCS. Each athlete must submit an Initial COVid Screening form prior to trying out. In the case of a positive test, a return to play form must be submitted as well.
