Middle School Athletics Update

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabarrus County Schools will offer a Spring Sports only schedule for the 2020-2021 school year for middle school students. Fall and winter sports will not be played this year.

Sports that will be offered this spring are: baseball, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, and boys and girls track. The tentative start date for middle school spring sports is Monday, March 22, 2021.

Ticket Information

The SPMSC has decided to go with a contactless ticket platform starting with the 2021 Spring Sports season. We will be using  "Ticket Spicket" like the high schools within Cabarrus County. You are HIGHLY encouraged to create an account and download the app. You will search for the event via the Home teams school name. Tickets will go on sale the week of the event. Please be patient with us while we work through  this process. Below you can find links to help you get familiar with this process.

Athletic Participation Information

     Any student-athlete wanting to tryout for a sport  must have a completed CCS athletic packet AND a current physical turned in and approved by Mr. Lenz our Athletic Trainer.  To save a trip to school, feel free to email a copy of your new physical to Mrs. Lenz. Also due to COVID-19 (per the NCHSAA) any physical dated 3/1/2019 thru 5/2/20 will be granted a temporary extension to participate thru the end of the 2020-21 academic year. Once we receive the paperwork, physical, and check eligibility we will then issue the student-athlete an orange card to give the coach letting them know you are cleared for tryouts. NO ORANGE CARD/NO PARTICIPATING!!!



NCMS Parent Power Point Presentation

All athletes and their parent/guardians must watch the parent power point presentation. Once viewed, the parent/guardian must fill out and submit the survey stating they watched it and understand its contents. The following forms are mandated by NCHSAA and CCS. Each athlete must submit an Initial COVid Screening form prior to trying out. In the case of a positive test, a return to play form must be submitted as well.

Game Day Information


NCMS Game Day Information for Spring Sports

NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED: This includes CCS Employees, Gold Cards, Tarheel Cards, NC Coaches Pass, etc.

ALL TICKET SALES ARE DIGITAL, THERE WILL BE NO TICKET SALES AT THE GATE. Ticket will be sold online at An account must be created in order to purchase a ticket. Tickets are sold thru the HOME school.

Once our 30% capacity has been sold, no other ticket sales are permitted.

Gates will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.

All spectators and patrons must exit the venue within 10 minutes of the conclusion of the event. This will be enforced.

Social Distancing should be followed, and masks are REQUIRED at all times while attending the contest/event.

Student/Athlete Insurance Information

 All Cabarrus County School students are provided voluntary student insurance applications at the beginning of each school year that details options and pricing for student insurance. Parents may obtain information & purchase insurance on the link listed below. This is a great option for student athletes who may not have insurance coverage.
