3A Girls Soccer Playoffs:

CONCORD – While the best team usually wins, a sport like soccer can often be an exception to that rule, and it showed in Saturday night’s 3A girls soccer state championship game at N.C. State’s Dail Soccer Complex.

Cox Mill dominated possession for a majority of the night and looked to be the better team all night, but Chapel Hill took advantage of one good scoring chance to take the title by a final of 1-0.

Cox Mill finished the season with a record of 19-3-2, while the Tigers went out on top with a mark of 19-1-1.
