Central Cabarrus Athletics would like to congratulate our two DI signees; Soccer Player Kylie Morin and Swimmer Isabelle Gaskey.
"Vikings Women's Soccer standout, Kylie Morin, signed her National Letter of Intent today to continue her soccer career at UNC Charlotte. Kylie played varsity soccer for three years scoring a record number of 104 goals and 28 assists. She made All Conference three years and All Region her sophomore and junior year. Her sophomore year she was named to the Independent Tribunes Dream Team and in March 2018 she was on the cover of the sport section. Throughout the three years she also earned 2 Golden Boot Awards as well as the Coaches Award. In addition to being a stellar athlete, Kylie's current class rank is 2nd out of the 406 seniors. Unfortunately, Kylie won't be playing high school soccer her senior year because she will be graduating early to start training at UNCC."
Isabella has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Campbell University, where she will study Nursing. Isabella currently ranks in the top 3% of 2020 graduating class at Central, She has also been named USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, USA Swimming Southern Zones 100 meter and 200 meter breaststroke champion, 2-times South Piedmont 3A Swim Conference champion, female swimmer of the year, and Central Cabarrus' most valuable female swimmer.
Both of these young ladies represent what's great about High School Athletics by being successful in the athletic arena as well as the classroom. They continue to be true leaders on the Central Cabarrus campus and will prove to represent Viking Country in all their future successes. Go Viks !
