Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabarrus County Schools will offer a Spring Sports only schedule for the 2020-2021 school year for middle school students. Fall and winter sports will not be played this year.
Sports that will be offered this spring are: baseball, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, and boys and girls track. The tentative start date for middle school spring sports is Monday, March 22, 2021.
2020-2021 ATHLETIC INFORMATION
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabarrus County Schools has recently suspended the start of athletics until March 22, 2020.
What can you do to prepare?
1. Make sure you complete the online registration process for 2020-2021. This must be done every year and is good for the entire school year.
2. Make sure your child's physical is up-to-date. NC DPI has allowed students a one-time, one year extension on physicals for the 2020-2021 school year. Therefore, a physical is valid if it was performed on or after

Your physical is good for 395 days from the date of the exam. You can turn it in to one of the Athletics Forms boxes located in the front office or beside the boy's locker room.
Athletic Eligibility is based on the previous semester average for all 4 core classes. To be eligible to play sports, every student-athlete must pass 3 of the 4 core classes. A grade of 60% and above is considered passing.

SEASON PASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE FRONT OFFICE
In the event of inclement weather, please be advised that all schools will delay a decision as long as possible. If a definite decision can't be made by 12noon, we will wait until 2pm if necessary. If a decision is made to postpone a game, an announcement will be made and coaches will be notified asap. At that point, coaches will notify non-school personnel by website contacts and players will be allowed to call if needed. Please don't call the school before 2pm regarding game postponement decisions.
